Four people have been killed after a small plane crashed close to the Dubai International Airport, Igbere TV has learnt.
Igbere TV gathered that three Britons and a South African were aboard the UK-registered DA42 plane when the crash occurred.
“The four-seat plane was on a mission to calibrate terrestrial navigation systems at the airport before it crashed”, UAE authorities said.
The General Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA) says an investigation is under way.
According to reports, the plane came down at approximately 7:30pm, killing a pilot, a co-pilot and two passengers.
Igbere TV gathered that flights at the airport were delayed, and some others diverted for around 45 minutes.
