According to Igbere Tv report, the election petition Tribunal sitting in Umuahia on Thursday, May 16, dismissed two petitions filed by Action Democratic Party (ADP) through Barr Kelenna Ogbonna and one by Action Peoples Party (APP) against the Governor of Abia state, Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu, challenging his emergence as the winner of the 2019 governorship election held in the state
The election Tribunal while ruling on the two petitions on Thursday ; EPT/AB/GOV/003/2019 and EPT/AB/GOV/004/2019 dismissed the two petitions over failed Representation in court, Igbere Tv reports.
Governor Ikpeazu, the defendant, had asked the court to dismiss the matter, as neither the petition nor their legal representative was in Court.
The Tribunal, however, dismissed the two cases, Igbere Tv gathered.
The tribunal is now left with that of Dr Alex Otti and Ogah adjourned till the 27th of May, 2019 .
