Bakare to Nigerians: Use PVCs wisely in 2019
As the nation grapples with myriads of socio-economic and political challenges, fiery preacher and pastor of the Latter Rain Assembly, Lagos, Tunde Bakare, Thursday urged Nigerians to use their voter cards wisely in the 2019 elections.
Bakare, who was co-convener of the Save Nigeria Group (SNG), advised the citizens to thoroughly examine politicians who again seek votes on the pretext of change.
He spoke at the 2016 Obafemi Awolowo Birthday Commemorative Symposium held at the Efunyela Hall of the Awolowo’s residence in Ikenne-Remo, Ogun State, where various speakers bemoaned the dwindling fortunes of the country.
At the event, Governor Nasir el-Rufai of Kaduna State, Ogun State Governor, Senator Ibikunle Amosun and Governor Olusegun Mimiko of Ondo State, among other eminent Nigerians, also advocated the adoption of the progressive ideas and programmes of the late Chief Obafemi Awolowo for Nigeria to move forward.
