The Katsina State Police Command on Wednesday confirmed the arrest of suspects in connection with the abduction of the mother of Governor Aminu Masari’s wife in March.
The Command’s Spokesman, SP Gambo Isah, who confirmed the arrest to Igbere TV, added that the suspects have been moved to Abuja where further pronouncements are expected to be made.
“It is true that we have made several arrests in connection with the incident but the suspects have been moved to Abuja. The Force headquarters will make further pronouncements on the issue.”
Igbere TV recalls that the eighty-year-old Hajiya Maistiyari who is the mother of Binta, Governor Masari’s wife, was kidnapped last March and released a few days later.
Speaking on the abduction of Katsina state district head, Magajin Garin of Daura, Alhaji Musa Umar, the Command Spokesman said there was no new development.
He, however, assured the people that the command was working hard to ensure his freedom.
