The Speaker of the Jigawa State House of Assembly, Hon Isah Idris has been impeached, Igbere TV reports.
Hon Idris Garba Kareka has been elected as the new Speaker.
Igbere TV reports that the Speaker was impeached on Thursday in an emergency meeting at the Assembly Complex.
The meeting had in attendance 20 out of 30 legislators.
Also impeached were Majority leader, Sank Isiyaku as well as Chief Whip, Aminu Sule Sankara.
