A Nigerian nurse has been arrested for allegedly selling a newborn baby for N350,000 in Lagos, Igbere TV reports.
Igbere TV learnt that the nurse lied to the mother of the baby that she had a stillborn.
The incident, Igbere TV gathered, happened at Trinity Clinic, along Meiran Road, Ifako-Ijaiye, Lagos.
It was gathered that the newborn baby was sold to a lady residing in Ajah.
The nurse was said to have told the parents that she had already helped them bury the child, but trouble started when a member of the family insisted on seeing the corpse.
Policemen were later involved and during interrogation, the suspect confessed to selling the baby and took them to the buyer’s house, where the girl was retrieved.
Sources told Igbere TV that the culprits have since been detained at the Meiran police station.
