Barely 24 hours after he announced his resignation from partisan politics, Mr. Gbenga Daniel, a former Governor of Ogun state and the Directior General of Atiku Abubakar Campaign, has reportedly decamped the ruling party, the All Progressives Congress (APC), Igbere Tv reports.
According to reports gathered by Igbere Tv newsmen, Daniel’ s supporters who converged on his Asoludero residence in Sagamu GRA, held a stormy meeting with him, during which they urged him to lead them to the APC , instead of abandoning them in what they called ‘political wilderness’ and when asked, he said had no choice but to obey the wish of his supporters.

Mr. Daniel: Basically, they (supporters) said I could resign from PDP. They said I must lead them to APC. And they also said I cannot retire from politics that is the summary of what I heard. Now we have to take a look at it.
JOURNALISTS: What is your position on their demands? Are you leading them into APC?
Mr. Daniel: What else can I say? My people have spoken.
