On Tuesday, March 12, hundreds of women embarked on a peaceful protest , asking the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to release the result of the recently concluded March 9 governorship election in Sokoto State, Igbere Tv reports.
Igbere Tv learnt that the protesters were led by three serving commissioners in the state, Mrs Kulu Sifawa, Prof A’isha Madawaki and Dr Kulu Abubakar.
According to the angry women, they said INEC’s declaration of the election in the state as inconclusive was unacceptable.
