Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu, People’s Democratic Party candidate for Abia State Governorship Election has cried out over plot by hired hoodlums to create panic and crises in the state.
Ikpeazu in a statement made available to Igbere TV through his Commissioner for Information, John Okiyi, called security agencies in the state” to ensure that the desperate plot of this unscrupulous politician, which is capable of throwing our state into needless crises, is aborted. ”

The statement reads,
“Our attention has been drawn to a plot by one of the candidates in the March 9 Abia Governorship election to hire hoodlums and move them to INEC result collation center in Umuahia to disrupt ongoing collation and announcement of results of one of the most peaceful elections in the history of Nigeria.”
“We call on security agencies in the state to ensure that the desperate plot of this unscrupulous politician, which is capable of throwing our state into needless crises, is aborted.”
“Parents are equally advised to ensure that their children are not used by unscrupulous politicians to foment trouble in the state or truncate the process of formally determining the winner of the Saturday election.”
“All Abians are advised to remain calm and await the final result of the election.”
Igbere TV had reported that heavy protest rocked the office of the Independent National Electoral Commission in Umuahia today.
