The victory of Governor Udom Emmanuel for second term in office has been secured by the people of Ibeno Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom State alongside Dr Usoro Akpanusoh, the member representing Esit Eket/Ibeno State Constituency, Igbere Tv reports.
The victory came as a result of the massive turnout recorded during the governorship and House of Assembly elections which was held in the area on March 9 (yesterday).
In governorship election in Akwa Ibom, according to the results announced by INEC, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) got 10,008 votes to defeat the All Progressive Congress (APC) who got only 1,442 votes out of 11,829 total votes cast.
The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the House of Assembly election, secured 9,698 votes while the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) scored 1,524 votes out of a total vote cast of 11,826, Igbere Tv reports.
