Former Governor of Abia State and Senator-elect, Abia North Senatorial district, Dr. Orji Uzor Kalu has won his polling unit, Onu-Ibina, Igbere, in Bende local government area for the All Progressives Congress (APC), Igbere TV reports.
Igbere TV reports that Kalu cast his vote at exactly 11:05am in the Saturday’s governorship and state house of assembly elections.
For the governorship election, the APC polled 132 votes against APGA’s 14, while PDP scored 13.
In the State House of Assembly election, the APC scored 127 votes, APGA 13, while PDP polled 12.
Igbere TV reports that the ex-governor had won the unit for the APC during the February 23 presidential and national assembly elections.
Dr. Kalu equally delivered his local government, Bende and some House of Rep seat in Abia North district for the APC, with significant improvement generally across the state compared to 2015.
