BREAKING!!! Plot By Akpabio To Burn Down INEC Offices Uncovered

Plot by Senator Godswill Akpabio to burn down the Independent National Electoral Commission offices in Akwa Ibom has been uncovered by Elders in the state.

The Akwa Ibom elders in a statement signed by His Excellency, Otuekong Idongesit Nkanga and made available to Igbere TV alleged that Senator Godswill Akpabio in concert with his APC cohorts have concluded plans to invade and burn down INEC offices in several local government areas of Akwa Ibom State; including the INEC head office in Uyo.

The Elders called on the President and Commander-in-Chief of the Nigerian Armed Forces, Chief of Army Staff, Director General of the Directorate of State Security Services, the acting Inspector General of Police to ensure that the lives and property of the general public, INEC staff and facilities, National Youth Corps Members as well as their ad-hoc staff in Akwa Ibom State, are adequately protected from the malicious and devilish plans of Senator Akpabio who has been roundly rejected by the people of Akwa Ibom North West Senatorial District.

The statement reads in full,

“Emerging intelligence gathered have confirmed that Senator Godswill Akpabio in concert with his APC cohorts have concluded plans to invade and burn down INEC offices in several local government areas of Akwa Ibom State; including the INEC head office in Uyo. “

“Senator Akpabio is currently boasting to close allies that he has secured the aid of Major General Jamil Sarham, the GOC 6 Division of the Nigerian Army based in Port Harcourt to maim and kill Akwa Ibom people as part of his efforts to truncate the wishes of the people.”

“Having failed to record any impact in the just concluded elections, which has cost him his seat in the National Assembly, Akpabio has confided in his close associates that he must destroy the election materials and create a hostile atmosphere in the state.”

“According to Akpabio’s boasts, the GOC and his Army personnel are mounting pressure and are also intimidating INEC officials to allow him and his cohorts to alter elections results in the State in favour the APC, especially in his Local Government Area.”

“Against the backdrop of these boasts, Akpabio has orchestrated victory celebrations despite the fact that the results are yet to be released officially where he lost woefully in 8 out of the 10 Local Government Areas in his senatorial district.”

“Given his antecedence, character and flippant tendencies, we are constrained to bring the attention of Nigerians, the International and Diplomatic Community that the integrity of the electoral process must be protected and the wishes of the people must be allowed to stand.”

“We call on the President and Commander-in-Chief of the Nigerian Armed Forces, Chief of Army Staff, Director General of the Directorate of State Security Services, the acting Inspector General of Police to ensure that the lives and property of the general public, INEC staff and facilities, National Youth Corps Members as well as their ad-hoc staff in Akwa Ibom State, are adequately protected from the malicious and devilish plans of Senator Akpabio who has been roundly rejected by the people of Akwa Ibom North West Senatorial District.”

“We will also wish to add that security agencies should desist from indiscriminate harassment and arrest of PDP Stakeholders across the State and should as a matter of urgency ensure the release of those already arrested.”

“We hope that with this statement, all those concerned will move in quickly to save democracy and allow the peace we have enjoyed so far to continue to reign in our dear State.”
