Senate president, Bukola Saraki has lost his reelection bid having lost in all four of the local government areas in Kwara central Senatorial district in Saturday’s National Assembly elections, Igberetvnews reports.
The senate president lost in Asa, Ilorin South, Ilorin East and his own local government, Ilorin West.
Result announced by the Independent National Electoral Commission Sunday evening showed that Bukola Saraki of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) polled 68,994 votes while his main challenger Dr Ibrahim Oloriegbe of the All Progressives Congress (APC) polled 123,808 votes.
