Report reaching IGBERE TV has it that a 27-year-old commercial driver, Mashudu Rabiu, on Monday appeared in an Ikeja Chief Magistrates’ Court for allegedly stealing three articulated vehicle carcases recovered from notorious kidnapper, Chukwudumeme Onwuamadike, a.k.a Evans.

The police prosecutor, Insp. Raphael Donny, alleged that the defendant conspired with others at large, and stole three trailer carcases valued at N10. 5 million, which were recovered by the police as exhibits from the notorious kidnap kingpin.
Donny said the defendant committed the offence on Dec. 10, 2018, at 3 a. m. at Amuwo Odofin, Lagos.
He said the defendant conspired with the security guard on duty and stole the carcases.
The defendant, he alleged, was arrested in Kastina and brought back to Lagos to face his charges.
The offence, he added, contravened the provisions of section 287 and 411 of 2015 (Revised) Criminal Law of Lagos state.According to Section 287 attracts a seven-year jail term for stealing while Section 411 provides two years for conspiracy.
The Chief Magistrate, Mrs B. O. Osunsemi, admitted the defendant to bail i the sum of N2 million with two responsible sureties in like sum.
Osunsemi ordered that the sureties must be gainfully employed with an evidence of two years tax payment to the Lagos State Government and have their addresses verified by the court.
In addition, she said they must reside within the court’s jurisdiction and adjourned the case until March 23 for hearing.
