The deputy governor spoke with journalists lamenting that his security details including his ADC were ordered to report to Government House on the February 15, for briefing on the same day he was to travel home.

Achuba said when the ADC got to the Government House, he was accused of gun running after a security aide to the governor took him and others to the SARS office to make statement.

“They accused my ADC and orderly of gunrunning but they denied the allegation. As I’m speaking now they are under detention in Government House. I informed the commissioner of police on the situation but till now he has refused to take any action.

“I’m a member of the All Progressives Congress. I reported to the national leader of the APC. My impress has been stopped for no any reason by the governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello.

“I live as deputy governor in the house without security, I travelled home without police, my life is in danger,” he reportedly lamented.

Apart from this, he said the electricity and water connections to his official residence had been cut off by the state government and he presently lives in darkness.

He pleaded with the Inspector General of Police (IGP) to prevail on the commissioner of police and call him to order so that his security details can be restored back.

According to reports, the commissioner of police confirmed the story when he was contacted, saying the deputy governor sent a message to his office.

He reportedly promised to make arrangement for two police officers to be posted to his house.
