As Akwa Ibom gathers momentum for the forthcoming general elections on Saturday, February 16th, the polity without any doubt is in favour of Governor Udom Emmanuel second term reelection bid and most incredibly for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidates, Igbere Tv reports.
These conclusions come of endorsements and support the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and Governor Udom Emmanuel have been able to gather in recent time in Akwa Ibom.
One of such is the support and public endorsement made today, Tuesday by one of the leading Guber aspirant of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the party’s governorship primaries that held in 2018, Dr. Efretui.
Dr Efretui declared his support for Gov. Emmanuel at the recently concluded Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) campaign rally at Uruefong Oruko.
While exposing the corruption in the All Progressives Congress (APC) system, Dr. Efretui told the crowd how he was robbed and schemed out of the APC governorship primaries.
He further exposed the dirty ploy of APC to use propaganda to deter Gov. Udom Emmanuel from focusing on his superlative performance.
He hinted that APC is just big mouthing about their federal might, affirming the PDP as being on grounds, with the capacity to win the APC in a landslide.
Efretui regretted ever leaving the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) family, expressing delight at the turn of events that has returned him to the PDP well known for rewarding his party men fairly.
He further declared his readiness to work for the success of the PDP and the reelection of Gov Udom Emmanuel at the coming general polls.
He also thanked Gov. Udom for staying focused on delivering purposeful governance to Akwa Ibom people and not being deterred by the propaganda and mudslinging sponsored by the All Progressives Congress (APC).
“I have seen projects in this state. I am from that system and I am telling you authoritatively that there’s nothing like Federal Might. We have to vote for the Peoples Democratic Party at all levels to secure the future of this country”, he added.
Igbere Tv gathered that Dr. Efretui defected to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) with over 5000 of his supporters.
