Three candidates of People’s Democratic Party in Abia State have reportedly landed in trouble as plot to Kidnap the All Progressives Congress Senatorial Candidate, Dr. Orji Uzor Kalu has been exposed.
Igbere TV reports that plan to Kidnap the former governor is coming just few days to presidential election in Nigeria.
Igbere TV also gathered that the popularity of Orji Kalu have made the chieftains of Peopleâs Democratic Party (PDP) jittery and uncomfortable.
Recall that Kalu, a former governor of Abia state and the APC senatorial candidate for Abia North, had in the past few months galvanized robust grassroots support for President Muhammadu Buhari and the APC in Abia state.
The campaign train of the front-line politician who is well-known for his political dexterity and cult-like followership has been moving from one ward to another without leaving any stone unturned in order to ensure victory for the APC.
Speaking on Monday with our correspondent under condition of anonymity, a close ally of the APC chieftain stressed that the PDP candidates for the three senatorial zones in the state have failed Abians in all ramifications, adding that the PDP led Abia state government has committed many atrocities including non payment of workers salaries.
He said, âin view of the general acceptability of the APC in Abia state and other parts of Nigeria, the PDP chieftains in Abia state rather than focus on objective campaign, are planning to kidnap Kalu as a way of frustrating the APC.
âThe plot has been exposed and security agencies are gathering intelligence information in order to apprehend those behind the plot.
âAbians are tired of the PDP senators in the state. They are only interested in empowering their private pockets at the detriment of their constituents.
âThe APC led federal government shall not condone any act of indiscipline before, during and after the poll.
âThe era of violence, rigging, humiliation and character defamation is over in Abia politics.
âCome Saturday, Abians will have a cause to celebrate as they re-elect President Muhammadu Buhari and vote the trio of Kalu, Marc Wabara and Nkechi Nwaogu to represent Abia North, Abia South and Abia Central senatorial districts respectively.

A few weeks ago, the former governorâs campaign motorcade was recently attacked at Etiti-Abam, Nkporo in Ohafia LGA, home of the deputy governor of Abia state, Mr. Ude Chukwu by thugs and hooligans working for the PDP.
