The committee of the All Progressive Congress (APC) presidential campaign council, Lagos state Chapter were in company of Ogbeni Rauf, Adesoji Aregbesola, the now ex governor of Osun state, at a conference between the two sides in other to make agreement in ceasing hostilities and also securing a landslide victory for President Buhari and the Gubernatorial candidate of the APC in Lagos state, Babajide Sanwo-olu at the forthcoming elections in February 16th and March 2nd.
Mr. Kunle Oyewunmi, the Lagos State Coordinator, while speaking at the occasion highlighted some of the major interventions of the committee in the short period of its existence.
Oyewunmi also mentioned that the house to house campaign and the effort of the committee in getting young and first time voters who are not necessarily card carrying members of the All Progressive Congress (APC) to understand the “real issues” to look out for in deciding who they should cast their votes for, beyond the misrepresentation on social media.
Mr. Oyewunmi also spoke on the committee’s effort at extracting commitment for Chief Orji Uzor Kalu to lead a formidable campaign in Ndigbo dominated areas and markets to convince them to vote for the All Progressive Congress all through. He also request the support of Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola for its signature program, the FeBUHARI Youth Road Show scheduled for February 14th, Valentine’s day.
Responding, the former Governor of Osun state, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola thanked the leadership and members of the committee for the strategic visit and encouraged them to do more in convincing the youths to continue to support the President and Vice president Buhari and Osinbajo respectively administration.
The ex-governor went into memory lane with facts and figures on how the previous administration from 1999-2015 had created the current economic hardship and wanton insecurity in the country.
The former Governor of Osun state also showed deep concern over why the PDP could still have the courage to shamelessly ask for votes from Nigerians. He urge Nigerians to reject the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in all ways as he expressed a strong optimism the President Muhammadu Buhari and indeed the APC would emerge with a landslide margin.
Aregbesola also pledged his full support for the FeBUHARI Youth Road Show.
