A young Nigerian man identified as Prince Jerry and 25-year-old committed suicide on Monday, January 28 2019, by jumping under a train incItaly after his request for a residency permit was rejected, Igbere Tv reports.
Martino, who is in charge of the association that helps migrants in the port-city, made the announcement in a chat group with his parishioners.
The message was subsequently shared on Facebook on Wednesday night and published by local newspapers on Thursday.
Igbere Tv learnt that Jerry’s funeral will be held Friday morning, at the Chiesa dell’Annunziata in Genoa.
Some of his friends took to their Facebook page to mourn his death.
