Governor Akinwunmi Ambode of Lagos State is currently in a hot sit as the House of Assembly members, on Monday began impeachment proceedings against him.
Igbere TV gathered that the impeachment process was initiated because of gross misconduct and abuse of office.
In the live stream monitored by Igbere TV, the lawmakers listed some of the Ambode’s alleged offences.
It was then agreed that a list will be drawn and forwarded to the governor who is expected to give answers within a stipulated period.
On of those who spoke, Sani Agunbiade, Ikorodu constituency 1, said the House would follow the rules in the process.
