The Nigerian Bar Association(NBA) has directed it members to boycott courts in the country as it embarks on a two-day warning strike to protest the suspension of Justice Walter Onnoghen as Chief Justice Of Nigeria, Igberetvnews reports.
The decision was taken after the association’s national executive committee(NEC) emergency meeting in Abuja on Monday, Igberetvnews has learnt.
President Muhammadu Buhari suspended Onnoghen on Friday and immediately swore in Ibrahim Muhammad in acting capacity.
The lawyers said they would boycott all the courts.

- NBA Condemns in strong terms the Unconstitutional Suspension of the CJN.
- NEC resolved that Members should boycott all Courts for the next 2 days starting from tomorrow the 29th to 31st of January, 2019.
- NEC Ratified the Constitution of a 3 Man Committee (which may be expanded) made up of Former Presidents Olanikpeku, A. B. Mahmood and President Paul Usoro to interface on the issue.
- NEC adopted and ratified all actions and statements earlier issued by the President on the Prosecution and Suspension of the CJN.
