President Muhammadu Buhari’s wife, Aisha Buhari has denied making any statement on the recent suspension of Justice Walter Onnoghen as Chief Justice Of Nigeria, Igberetvnews reports.
Mrs. Buhari made this known through a statement from her Director, Information, Mr Suleiman Haruna, on Sunday in Abuja. She described the news being circulated that she condemned Onnoghen’s suspension as fake, Igberetvnews gathered.
”The attention of wife of the President has been drawn to a post on social media to the effect that she condemned the suspension of the Chief Justice of Nigeria.
”It is important to inform Nigerians that wife of the President has not made any public statements on the matter and therefore the commentary is untrue and fake.
“This is highly condemnable and we, therefore, advise the purveyors of such news to recant and desist henceforth,” the statement added.
Justice Walter Onnoghen was suspended on Friday by the President who cited an order from the Code of Conduct Tribunal for him to step aside pending the determination of his alleged false asset declaration case.
