The Senatorial Candidate of the All Progressive Congress for Abia North, Dr. Orji Uzor Kalu has lambasted Senator Mao Ohuabunwa over his comment on ecological funds.
Igbere TV gathered that Ohuabunwa had alleged that the former governor of Abia State diverted ecological funds while he was governor of the state.
Dr. Frank Osita, an aide to Kalu while speaking with journalists described Ohuabunwa as the worst Senator in Nigeria’s History.
He urged the Senator to start getting ready to go home after the February election, insisting that he is not qualified to be a local government Chairman.
Dr. Osita also said there was no erosion in Isuikwuato-Uturu road while Kalu was the governor. “Kalu left government about 12 years ago. While he was the governor, there was no erosion on that road. He was maintaining the erosion and never ran to Federal government for help on that road because it’s a state road.
In his words,
“He never received a kobo from Obasanjo because he was fighting with him. It’s on record that Abia didn’t receive one Naira under him. Ohuabunwa is speaking from the point of view of total ignorance. He lacks information” he said.
OUK, who described the Abia North Senator as a drowning man added that Sen. Ohuabunwa is the perfect definition of a bad Senator, having not been able to add the project to the budget to effect work on Isuikwuato-Uturu road.
He berated the PDP led government in the state for what he called their penchant for propaganda and lies. He said maintenance work was abandoned on the road the moment he left office 12 years ago. “There was no single erosion there throughout my principal’s stay as governor. That road was free for people to use. They abandoned work the moment he left government. It’s their propaganda and lies for which they have carved a niche for themselves that’s hunting them. They execute projects on radio and television, they pay salaries on radio and television, people are used to their lies and this one cannot be an exception” he said.
