2019: PDP Issues Warning To Southeast Governors, Reveals What Will Happen To Them If Buhari Is Reelected

The Anambra state chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Presidential Campaign Council has warned the southeast governors that a victory for President Muhammadu Buhari at the forthcoming general elections will affect their re-elections.

The warning was given on Thursday, January 17, by the chairman of the campaign council in the state, Oseloka Obaze.

Obaze said majority of the people of the southeast had resolved to support the candidacy of the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubabar, and his running mate, Peter Obi.

Igberetvnews gathers that the campaign council warned the governors that if they work against Atiku and Peter Obi, the people of the southeast will pay them back in their own coin.

He said: “If it becomes clear that the governors work against Atiku-Obi interest in the February 16 polls, it will have a devastating effect on the governors in their March 2nd elections.

“If they don’t work hard and our party loses, there will be a backlash against them from Ndigbo after the election. If Buhari returns, there is no assurance they will win their own elections. It will therefore be inimical if they work against Alhaji Atiku Abubarka and Peter Obi ticket. “It’s not possible for them to do so.They won’t try it because it will be against them.

“As of today, I will tell you that we are all working together to achieve this project. The governors are with us. They don’t have any alternative.”

According to Obaze, the southeast zonal rally of the party will take place in Owerri, the Imo state capital, on Tuesday, January 22.

He said that on the day of the rally, PDP governors in the zone and party leadership would come out en masse to make a statement about the presidential project.
