2019 : Yoruba Residents In Aba Adopt Mascot Uzor Kalu (Photos)

The rate of negligence, marginalization and exploitation of non indigenes of Aba in the allocation and distribution of resources, and also the failure of the existing government to present the plights of the non indigenes of Aba to the table of the house has made yoruba indigenes in Aba to unanimously throw their support behind the Mascot Uzor Kalu, the APC candidate to represent Aba North and Aba south federal constituency at the national assembly, Igbere TV has learnt.

Igbere TV reports that the event took place at the Mascot Uzor Kalu campaign office in Aba on Sunday 12th of January 2019.

Mascot Uzor Kalu

Their leader Chief Adedeji thanked Mascot for honouring their invitation and begged him to put the plights of non indigenes in his agenda as he makes his way to the federal house. He said they have been marginalised overtime and that the present government for years have always turned deaf ears to their pleas, instead their business have been impaired by excessive levies and underdevelopment. In his words “we are tired…… We registered here and we will vote here…”.

The height of the event was the presentation of gifts by the Yoruba Indigenes Association Aba Branch to Mascot Uzor Kalu and also to Signor Kanu the APC candidate for Aba Central State Constituency .

Responding, Mascot Uzor Kalu appreciated their efforts and thanked them for making out time to support him. He urged them to appreciate change in their place of residence which also doubles as their place of business , he also begged them to play an active role in the politcal activities of the state. He promised that non indigenes will not be left out in his agenda as their representative.
