The president has no constitutional powers to either sack or replace the CJN.Only the national judicial council headed by the CJN himself has such powers.
By filing these spurious charges against the CJN the president is only trying to force him to step aside on moral grounds while his CCT trial subsists.
However until he is convicted by either the CCT or the NJC,there is no constitutional provision that the CJN must step aside.
Like the senate president Saraki he can still remain in power and fight the corruption charges.
I join well meaning Nigerians in prevailing upon the CJN Onnogen not to succumb to blackmail of election riggers by resigning or stepping aside but sit tight in office.
