St Michael’s market is under demolition by Abia State Government, having failed so far to make the traders to relocate the market to another site.
The “Aba Urban Renewal (A.U.R)” ably led by Dr. Engr. Solomon Ogunji in conjunction with ‘Abia State Market Development Committee (ASMDC)’ also led by Hon. Solomon Nwaigwe are currently at St. Michael’s Road Aba, bringing down the market.
This is in line with the traders’ refusal so far to relocate their business to ‘Aba Mega Mall’ sited at Osisioma where Abia State Government have constructed an International standard trading complex for them.
