Abdulmumin Jibrin, former Chairman of the House of Representatives Committee on Appropriation, has reacted after lawmakers embarrassed President Muhammadu Buhari during the presentation of 2019 budget proposal at a joint session of the National Assembly yesterday.
Jibrin noted that it takes courage for a President to appear before a joint session of the National Assembly at a time like this when lawmakers are divided across party lines.
He commended Buhari for the show of courage and added that the President did excellently well.
The lawmaker tweeted, “It takes courage for a president to go to NASS and present the budget during a period of bad politics and sharp divide across party lines.
“It was a show of extreme courage by @MBuhari to have gone ahead and did excellent as well.
“If you think it’s a tea party,ask his predecessors.”
