Report reaching Igbere TV news room has it that Dozie Ikedife, a chieftain of Igbo apex socio-cultural group, Ohanaeze Ndigbo, is dead.
Igbere TV gathered that Mr Ikedife died in his Nnewi residence, according to a report by The Sun.
His son, Ikedife Junior confirmed this to the news medium.
He is aged 88 and will be committed to mother earth Wednesday evening according to Mr Ikedife.
