According to reports, the Minister of Information on Monday said that Obasanjo “has every right to support anyone he likes,” adding that such right “is constitutional.”
The minister, however, expressed optimism that President Muhammadu Buhari will defeat Atiku Abubakar saying Obasanjo’s candidate will be “roundly and comprehensively ” defeated.
Obasanjo through his media aide, Kehinde Akinyemi had made the clarification in a statement he released on Sunday, December 9.
He said only a fool would choose to be neutral when his or her country is being destroyed; and he is neither a fool nor an unwise.
