The University of Nigeria, Nsukka (UNN), will on Thursday, November 22, honour Chief (Barr.) Benjamin Kalu with the National Youth Motivator of the Year Award 2018.
The Award is usually reserved for those with verifiable passion and interest in education, youth empowerment, philanthropy and national development.
In a statement by the organizers of the conference, made available to Igbere Tv, they described Chief Kalu as “the most fitting person to grace the opening session of such a highly acclaimed intellectual exercise of national and international rating.”

The program with the theme: “National Security and the clamor for Restructuring in the 21st Century”, will take place at the Princess Alexandria Auditorium, UNN, under the distinguished chairmanship of Prof. Shola Omotola, Dean, Social Sciences, Federal University Oye-Ekiti.
The program has Dr. Uchechukwu Sampson Ogah (OON) CEO, Masters Energy Ltd Lagos; Rev. (Mr.) Jemima Kalu of Orji Uzor Kalu Foundation, Abuja; and Chief Ikenna Ariwodo, Omeroha of Uzuakoli Arc. Kingdom, as Special Guests of Honour.
The Conference is intended to interrogate issues revolving around national security and restructuring with a view to making appropriate recommendations for national cohesion, peace and development. The conference will also showcase musical/cultural performances, arts exhibitions and theatrical presentation. In a word, it promises exciting academic and creative activities. The Conference will feature a keynote address by one of Nigeria’s youngest, most vibrant and intellectually-endowed scholars, Professor J. Shola Omotola.
Additionally, and according to the organizers, “the Conference is also intended to inspire and motivate both staff and students who from a distance had for long admired and appreciated the trail Barrister Benjamin have blazed in private business, philanthropy and politics.”
Speaking with Igbere Tv correspondent, an aide to Chief Barr. Kalu said, “The school, having examined my principal’s interest in national development for 17 years, and his contributions to youth development, his belief in education and genuine philanthropy, sees Chief Barr. Benjamin Kalu as the next leader Nigeria should watch out for in no distant time.”
Chief Barr. Benjamin Kalu is an international business mogul and the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate for Federal House of Representatives under Bende Federal constituency.
Uche Ogah will be receiving the Enterprise Giant of the year 2018 at the same event.
