Two students of Rufus Giwa Polytechnic, Owo, Ondo State, have been killed following a clash between the Eiye and Aiye (Black Axe) confraternities.
According to reports, the incident occurred, last night, at Right Link Villa, Okanlawon Street.
The two Eiye cult members (pictured) were hacked to death and their hands chopped off as a sign that they were killed by the Aiyes.
Last week, at least one person was killed with several others injured when some youth suspected to be members of rival cultists clashed in Ijapo area of Akure, Ondo state capital.
It was gathered that many residents of the area and passerby ran for their lives when the cultists engaged themselves in a fierce shootout.
According to an eyewitness, the cause of the clash was unknown but the gunmen started shooting and running across the estate while one man was caught down and others with gunshot escaped from the scene of the incident.
He explained that it took over two hours before men of the state police command curtailed the incident but said the identity of the cult group behind the shootout was still unknown as at the time of writing this report.
