Governor Ganduje Receives Award In Lagos Amid Bribery Scandal.(Photos)

The governor of Kano state, Dr Abdullahi Umar Ganduje OFR and his wife Dr Hafsat Umar Ganduje attended the 10th LEAD Project, Big Innovation Festival which took place at the Oriental Hotel in Victoria Island Lagos.

The LEAD Project Africa is a social enterprise initiative designed to ignite the spirit of enterprise, innovation, creativity, and service excellence. It is also aimed at stimulating growth in Nigeria and Africa as a whole.

The event is also used to celebrate and especially recognize creativity, innovations, brilliant ideas and enterprises in various sectors of the African economy. Among the objectives of the project are to provide and proffer solutions to some of our economic challenges and business growth in the continent.

The organizers of the event, also awarded the governor with a merit award for his many achievements in infrastructure, which led to the significant development of Kano in just 3 years of his administration, which has tremendously enhanced economics activities in the state.

Meanwhile, supporters of Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso yesterday challenged the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), and Independent Corrupt Practices and Other related Commission (ICPC) to probe alleged Governor Abdullai Ganduje’s $5million bribery.

Two videos released – captured show governor Ganduje, receiving part of $5m bribe from a contractor and stuffing them in his pockets.

According to Daily Nigerian, contractors said that the governor personally receives from 15 to 25 percent kickbacks for every project executed in the state.

The governor has vehemently denied the bribe allegations as he said the videos were doctored.
