Governor Akinwunmi Ambode seems to be in trouble as popular Nigerian Billionaire, Femi Otedola, Chairman/CEO of Forte Oil, has accepted to run for the governorship seat of the Lagos State under the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
This was confirmed by a Nigerian journalist, Dele Momodu via his twitter account.
He wrote,
“Breaking news: Lagos 2019 promises to be interesting. PDP offers Femi Otedola governorship ticket. He’s accepted and personally confirmed to The Boss newspaper.”
Recall that Ambode obtained his nomination form yesterday. He said he is running for the second term because his people requested for it.
According to him,
“To continue the work of building a secure and prosperous Lagos, I obtained the Nomination Form to re-contest for the office of Governor of Lagos State at the National Headquarters of our party, the All Progressives Congress. Once again, I count on your support”.
