In the video below, IPOB General council and Lawyer to IPOB leader, Nnamdi Kanu, Barrister Ejiofor, threatend to sue the Nigerian police to the tune of 10 billion Naira for the arrest and detention of IPOB women.
Ejiofor told journalists, who were present as the women were being released, that the proscription of IPOB was being challenged at the court of appeal and as a result, all parties are expected to observe the status quo.
Ejiofor made it clear that nobody should be arrested for belonging to IPOB as the decision to procribe IPOB was already at the court of appeal and that a suit for stay of execution of that order had already been filed.
Ejiofor finished by saying that this would mark the end of any further arrest of anyone for belonging to IPOB
