It was an emotional moment when the little girl who was found, four years after being kidnapped, reunited with her family. The whole streets was on lock down as residents trooped in their numbers to welcome the 6-year-old girl from Imo state identified as Onyinyechi Okpala.
The then 2-year-old girl was stolen on 30th November 2014, when she and her mother went for end of year party which was hosted by “Taribo” her uncle in Port-Harcourt, Rivers state.
They searched everywhere for the little girl all to no avail.
On 20th August 2018, the little girl who is now 6 years old, was found by the Imo state police who busted a child trafficking syndicate.
A total of eleven (11) stolen children were recovered from the suspects some of whom have been identified by their parents.
