Yesterday, six operatives of the Special Anti Robbery Squad (SARS), were arrested for allegedly extorting N40,000 from twin brothers Mark and Martins on their to NYSC Camp. They were reportedly detained and charged for misconduct by IGP X-squad in Delta state after they were reported by human rights activist and CEO of Behind Bars Initiative (BBI), Prince Harrison.
According to the activist who conducted an investigation, residents of Warri are allegedly paying for registration in order for the SARS operatives to protect them.

BBI investigations proved that young and old in Warri, Delta State pay registration fees to these men to be protected.
For instance, you pay them, you won’t be stopped or arrested, and you will be protected from further arrest from any security agencies.
This means, they protect criminals. We commend their efforts in curbing crime but we have too may bad eggs among them.
