Juventus player, Juan Cuadrado has relinquished his number 7 shirt in anticipation of his new team mate, Ronaldo.
Five-time Ballon d’Or winner Ronaldo completed a £100million move from Real Madrid to the Serie A champions on Tuesday, becoming their record signing.
Juventus chiefs were spared an awkward situation when Juan Cuadrado opted to voluntarily hand over the Number 7 shirt to Ronaldo who has created a huge CR7 brand in almost every club he played. He wore the number 7 jersey at Manchester United and also at Real Madrid.
30-year-old Cuadrado wore the Number 16 jersey when he joined Juventus on loan from Chelsea. However, he was switched to the number 7 jersey when his transfer was made permanent last summer.
Sharing on Instagram, Cuadrado said: ‘It is more blessed to give than to receive blessings.’
