I don't Know Facebook Or How To Use It - Umahi Cries Out, Vows To Recruit 4000 Persons (See Why)

Governor Dave Umahi of Ebonyi state, yesterday said he would roll out 4,000 persons for social media in order to tackle critics of his administration who had taken to facebook to paint it black before the world.

Addressing over 450 Senior Technical Assistants(STAs) and Technical Assistants(TAs), his special aides who paid him a courtesy call at Government House Abakaliki, Umahi noted that the social media critics had been dish ing out falsehood to the members of the public against his administration. He said he had resolved to tackle them squarely and rolled out 4,000 persons in this regard.

He pointed out that the critics had reported on the social media that he was suspended for six months by the National Working Committee of the Peoples Democratic Party(PDP) and that he had agreement with former Secretary to the government of the federation, Senator Anyim Pius that he will govern the state for single tenure of four years and handover to him to complete eight years two tenure of south senatorial zone when according to him such did not occur.

“Why should they outweigh us when you have every material and other things to write?

Most of you think that your appointments is political patronage but it is not. There are so many idles of TAs and STAs and that is what I want to weed off.

“These over 450 STAs and TAs should have assistants because if you are earning N150,000, you should have an assistant you are paying N10,000 or N20,000. So, get 1,000 of you and move to face book and attack anybody that is painting us black.” “I want to see what the 1,000 people are doing now because I promised them that I am going to roll out 4,000 people to the face book to dwindle them and frustrate them. So, I have 1,000 from you. I don’t know face book or anything about face book but I am going to have a TA on face book who will be telling me it is working or not”, he said.

Earlier, Chairman of the forum, Chief Mathew Igwe assured Governor Umahi to they will continue to support his administration.
