Unknown armed bandits suspected to be from Utuma in Biase local government area of Cross River State on Friday, allegedly invaded Isu communities in Arochukwu local government area of Abia State, killing ten people.
Several houses were also burnt down during the attack.
Isu community in Arochukwu LGA of Abia State and Utuma community in Cross River State had in recent time clashed over boundary dispute.
Report has it that following the Friday’s clashes, where houses were burnt down, the Isu community has been deserted.
As of the time of filing this report, men of the Nigerian Army and Nigerian police were invited to the scene of the attack, but not much success had so far been achieved as the killings and wanton destruction of property worth millions of naira by the aggressors continues.
