As part of effort to continue to seek for ways that will better the overall fortune of the Imo team Heartland Football Club of Owerri, the Chairman of the club, Chief Goodfaith Etuemena has secured a partnership transfer program with an European based Football club from Switzerland Grasshopper Football Club particularly on areas of youth transfers.
The agreement between the club and Heartland was reached recently when Chief Etuemena visited the club to secure the partnership.
The program will fully kick off with a visit to Nigeria and Owerri in particular by the officials of the club from Switzerland to organize a tournament among some selected soccer academy and Heartland youth team for the purpose of transfer of outstanding youth Players between the ages of 18 and 21 serious age scrutiny most be applied to ensure that the aim of the exercise is achieved.
The first part of the program will commence with arrival of the scouting Officer of the European team Grasshopper Football Club and some staff of the club to Lagos enroute to owerri on Saturday 21st of April 2018.
Therefore the management of Heartland Football Club is using this medium to invite some football academy, some players managers, scouting Officers and some Football stakeholders to attend the football tournament for the youths Players, serious assessment of their ages will be ascertained because of it’s importance to the exercise, the tournament will take place at the Sam Okwaraji stadium Orlu starting from Monday 23rd of April 2018 and will last for two weeks to allow the visitors assess the players and pick outstanding talents for their program in Europe.
