Imo State governor, Owelle Rochas Okorocha has redeemed 50 million Naira out of 100 million Naira pledge he made in support of the cathedral building for the Catholic Diocese of Okigwe.
Represented by the Imo State Chief of Staff, the governor gave out a cheque of 50 million Naira to the Bishop of Okigwe Diocese of the Church, His Grace Rev. Dr. Amatu who joyfully received the cheque and commended the Imo State governor for his continued support to the growth of the Catholic Church and the Christian faith, generally.
The governor assured that the remaining 50 million Naira will be redeemed in no distant time.
Accompanied by his friends and political associates, the Imo State Chief of Staff and governorship candidate of the ruling All Progressives Congress was blessed by the respected cleric for his forthrightness and consistency in his service to humanity and to all good causes.
