Stormy Daniels has revealed that her relationship with President Donald Trump was all about trying to appear on ‘The Apprentice’. Daniels appeared on ’60 Minutes’ on Sunday night in a highly-anticipated interview with Anderson Cooper.
The 39-year-old, whose real name is Stephanie Clifford, has dodged questions about her relationship with the president for months since the claims came to light.
But the adult film actress finally dished on her liaison with The Donald and what occurred after they met in July 2006 at a celebrity golf tournament in Lake Tahoe.
According to Daniels, it was Trump who originally came up with the idea of her appearing on the popular NBC show.
She said: ‘And I laughed and said: “NBC’s never gonna let, you know, an adult film star be on. It’s, you know”.
‘He goes: “No, no”. He goes: “That’s why I want you. You’re gonna shock a lotta people. You’re smart and they won’t know what to expect”.’
Daniels said she believes that Trump was both being serious and trying to get her involved in a relationship with him.
The porn star then said the duo had dinner in his hotel suite at the golf tournament where they met and later proceeded to have unprotected sex.
Afterwards, Trump allegedly told her that she surprised him, that he believed people must underestimate her and that he reminded her of his daughter Ivanka.
He closed out the night by saying that they would later about her appearing on the show.
Daniels said that the two stayed in touch and that, in phone calls, he told her that he had had meetings with producers who loved the idea of her being on ‘The Apprentice’.
In July 2007, one year after they met, Daniels told Cooper that Trump asked her to meet him at his bungalow at the Beverly Hills Hotel in Los Angeles to talk about the possibility of her appearing on ‘Celebrity Apprentice’.
Daniels claims that Trump made her watch a documentary about shark attacks and then proceeded to try and have sex with her again.
‘He came and sat next to me and, you know, touched my hair, and put his hand on my leg, and referenced back to how great it was the last time,’ she said.
Daniels says that he would have an answer for her next week.
‘And I was like: “Okay, cool. Well, I guess call me next week.” And I just took my purse and left,’ she said.
According to Daniels, Trump called her the following month and said he was unable to get her a spot on ‘Celebrity Apprentice’. She says they never met again and only had sex in that first meeting in 2006.
Trump had not commented publicly on Daniels’s allegations of their tryst.
