Coleen and Wayne Rooney have been spotted on a night out together in Cheshire. The couple posed for a selfie with a fan as they attended the Opulent travel services launch at Victors in Hale, Cheshire. It’s the first time they’ve been seen together since Coleen’s raw Facebook post when she forgave her husband for his drink-driving shame.
Coleen – who recently gave birth to fourth son Cass – welcomed Wayne back into the family fold after a boozy night with party girl Laura Simpson last August.
Laura has previously hinted that she and Wayne were ready and willing to do more than just talk when they met on a night out. The two met in a club and inebriated Wayne then decided to take her VW Beetle for a spin, but was pulled over by cops and breathalised.
When he pleaded guilty to drive-driving at a later court date, he was banned from driving for two years and sentenced to 100 hours of unpaid community work.
His marriage came under strain as a result, with pregnant Coleen jetting off on holiday with their sons and her parents and taking off her wedding ring, while a sombre Wayne was shuttled to and from his Everton training by a chauffeur.
But in a raw and emotional Facebook post in November, Coleen said she’d forgiven Wayne for his indiscretion – even though she thought their relationship was over.
“I’m not taking Wayne back as he’s never left,” she wrote.”Yes, it has been a s**t time, and yes, time was spent apart and I thought my marriage might have been at an end.”
She went on: “Wayne doesn’t get portrayed for the person he is in the press, he has always had a hard time.
“I’m not going to list his good qualities as a person as I don’t think he deserves it at this time but one thing is that he is a brilliant dad. He’s made silly and selfish mistakes, some he’s learnt from, some obviously not. However maybe that will change?”
Coleen ended her post by asking people not to judge her private life by what they read about her.
