After Buhari’s Visit, Comes Another Mass Burial And More Tears In Benue (Photos)

By Wisdom Nwedene

I wanted not to talk about the continuous killings of Benue indigenes by the rampaging Fulani herdsmen in the country but the recent killing of catholic Catechist, two brothers in Benue after Buhari’s visit made me to be completely dejected.

This is coming just less than 24 hours after President Muhammadu Buhari visited Benue State to commiserate with the government and people over herdsmen murder of 73 people and other killings in the state.

Recall that on the same day Buhari visited Benue State, two policemen were allegedly killed by the Fulani herdsmen.

The tight security agents that followed Buhari to Benue on the day he visited, everybody expected the president to leave those security agents in Benue in order for the poor masses to be secured the same way he is being secured because they needed them more than him but only for the President to tell them that he is surprised that the IGP, Idris Ibrahim didn’t obey his directive and rushed back to Abuja to receive the US Secretary General, Rex Tillerson who has been sacked.

It is no longer news that the 24 people who were killed by the Fulani herdsmen in Benue were buried today but the questions remain, when will the killings stop? When will this continuous mass burial in Benue stop? When will the president crush the herdsmen the same way he believes that he has crushed IPOB members and has technically defeated Boko Haram terrorists?

After Buhari’s visit to Benue State, comes another mass burial and the killings also have not stopped!!
