Nkwebi community in Ohafia LGA, Abia State thronged out to welcome the team of Orji Uzor Kalu Foundation.
The team of OUK Foundation were in Nkwebi to give interest free loan to empower petty traders across Abia State. The people were overjoyed as they eulogize Dr. Orji Uzor Kalu for his kind gestures and also thanked him.
They described the former governor as a man with heart of gold. It should be recalled that the interest free loan is inline with the United Nations 2030 poverty eradication agenda.
The loan will go round Abia State, also nationwide, according to the executive secretary of the foundation. “we started from Abia State because charity begins at home” Rev Jemima Kalu told the beneficiaries.
She added that the loan is payable, given two months grace from the day it was given to the beneficiaries, noting that the founder of the foundation, Dr. Orji Uzor Kalu has paid the interest.
