Nigerian Army on Wednesday declared the elusive leader of Boko Haram, Abubakar Shekau wanted “dead or alive.”
The declaration was made by the Theatre Commander of Operation LAFIYA DOLE, Maj.-Gen. Rogers Nicholas, during a press conference in Maiduguri, Borno State.
Operation LAFIYA DOLE is currently battling to rout Boko Haram insurgents out of the North East.
According to Nicholas, “We are still looking for him. Wherever he is, we want him dead or alive.”
Nicholas called on insurgents to surrender before it will be too late for them to do so.
The Theater Commander said those who surrender would be rehabilitated under the Federal Government’s Save Corridor programme.
