Few days ago, news went viral on the internet alleging that Hon.Valentine Okike-Uzo, the member Representing Onicha West Constituency in the Ebonyi State House of Assembly connived with his girlfriend to beat his wife to a pulp after she caught him red handed smooching his mistress, an incident that left her hospitalized.
According to a statement by the Technical Assistant to the Governor on the New Media, Mr. Francis Nwaze, ever since the unconfirmed report hit the public domain, nothing has been heard from either the husband or the wife except for their first outing to a state function, which occurred just two days after the alleged assault.
Just yesterday, camera caught the family where they attended a church service and later proceeded for a family shopping and the picture quickly circulated on the internet as well.
This morning, Mrs Nonye Okike Uzo, the alleged victim, through her Facebook profile responded to the trending issue and below is her statement: “Our enemies will live to see us, from glory to glory, where God will continue to take us”.
In another of her statement she advised the general public to get busy and stop the culture of tarnishing people’s image, ” …You better find something to keep yourself busy”..
