President Muhammad Buhari has observed Eid- el-Kabir sallah prayer in his hometown, Daura amid tight and heavy security presence.
Buhari observed the two rakat eid prayer at the Kofar Arewa and Sarki’s eid ground. He arrived the Eid ground at about 9:45 am and after which the prayer led by the Chief Imam, Central Mosque, Imam Salisu Rabiu immediately commenced and lasted for two minutes.
Combined team of security agents which include men of the Nigerian army, police, mobile police, Nigerian Security and civil defence corps and Department of State security. Muslim faithfuls who troop in to observe the prayers were subjected to thorough check and screening using sophisticated gadgets.
The President after the two rakat prayer waved at the mammoth crowd before he departed the eid ground. President Buhari performed the prayers along side the Emir of Daura, Alhaji Umar Faruq.
