The Economic Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, Ibadan zonal headquarter, has disclosed that it has recovered about N277,931,341.31, in 431 cases, with 195 arrests, mostly members of the opposition Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.
This was disclosed on Monday afternoon, by the Deputy Zonal Head, Ibadan, Kazeem Oseni, while briefing Journalists on the activities of the agency in the last few months.
He added that, the recovered sum is a big leap from N57 million, that the agency recovered last year.
The zonal headquarters which began operation in March 2016, Oseni said, had prevalent cases in the zone as internet fraud, land, bank fraud, and land disputes.
